| Senath Elementary School |
ChallengeThe existing elementary facility was in very poor condition and in need of complete renovation including structural, building envelop, roofing, windows, doors, flooring, ceilings, lighting, safety, security, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Even with these renovations, the facility would not be as efficient as a new energy efficient facility, and the structure would be too small to serve current needs of the district. Project ResultsCTS is the district’s single-source solution with the development of a project to construction a new high performance 20,500 sq. ft. elementary facility. The structure will optimize the human, environmental and economic value to the community. To create well-designed school buildings, CTS focuses on integrating day lighting and electrical lighting technologies, reduced noise levels, healthy indoor air quality, thermal comfort, healthy low emission materials, and energy efficient building envelope and mechanical systems. These properties reduce operating costs, improve facility and student performance, reduce distractions and promote an energized educational environment where students and teachers can see and communicate with one another clearly and comfortably. |
